We will share our competition team's solution for the 2013 HSCC National Competition.  The team had 7 hours to create their website solution and  present the site to a panel of judges.  Five students make up this team of fierce competitors: Charles McIntosh II, Cameron Hughes, Elizabeth Ho, Cortez Christian, and Bradley Wise. Tonji Zimmerman will introduce the team and give an overview of the HSCC program and the National competition the students competed in against over 20 chapter teams.

Tonji Zimmerman is a Sr. Technical Consultant with Pearson Inc., a global leader in education, where she delivers innovative solutions for digital asset management, content migration, and learning management system integrations utilized by educational institutions around the world. 
 
With over 15 years of application development experience, Tonji has worked in a variety of industries, including health care, global shipping, and retail.  Over this time she has implemented world class systems to world class organizations, including a time critical system currently in use by the University of Michigan Health Systems Transplant Center.
 
Tonji holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Michigan State University, and volunteers her spare time as the Detroit Chapter's Coordinator and lead trainer for the High School Computer Camp (HSCC).

Our guest speaker is Ed Neubecker from IBM for our April 18th Information Exchange.  We will focus on how Agile is changing the way we develop applications software, the dynamic in the work place, and the tools used.  Whether you're an IT developer or a business manager, you will be impacted.  Are you ready?  There is no simple definition of Agile Software Development Framework's.   It is terminology which will become commonly used to describe delivering value in the work place.   We hope to explore some of these approaches while sharing an overview of IBM's  Agile Software Development Tool with the audience participants.

Ed Neubecker is a long time Michigander with deep roots downriver. He has a BSEE degree from UofM and a Master degree in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. During his 20+ yr career he has served various roles from QA, software development , system’s engineering, quality manager and process improvement to name a few. The past 8 years have been spent with IBM where he helps customer understand and adopt IBM Rational technology. IBM Rational is the leading ALM delivery platform supporting teams that includes development efforts around embedded systems, Distributed and Mainframe applications. Ed is also certified scrum master and loves to help customers understand how using IBM Rational Team Concert can accelerate delivery efforts by using an out of the box template for scrum.
